Trumpet Lessons in Arlington Heights, IL
One-on-one trumpet instruction for kids, teens, and adults at The Arlington School of Music — in person at our downtown Arlington Heights studio or online.
Trumpet lessons at The Arlington School of Music are taught by Kristin Gorski, Head of our Woodwind & Brass Department. Lessons build the fundamentals brass playing depends on: embouchure, breath support, buzzing, articulation, and healthy range development.
School trumpet players work on chair placement auditions, honor bands, jazz band, and solo & ensemble contest pieces. Beginners of any age get a structured start that builds endurance and range the right way — without the strain that comes from poor habits.
Lessons are one-on-one at our downtown Arlington Heights studio or online, weekdays 3:00–9:00 PM with weekends by appointment.

Trumpet Lessons — Frequently Asked Questions
What age can a child start trumpet?›
Most students begin around ages 9–11 with school band. Front teeth should be fully in. Teen and adult beginners progress quickly with focused instruction.
How do I increase my range?›
Range comes from efficient embouchure and air — not pressure. Lessons build range systematically through fundamentals, which is safer and faster than forcing high notes.
Do you prepare students for band auditions?›
Yes. Chair placements, honor bands, jazz band, and solo & ensemble contests are a regular focus of our brass studio.
